In almost every sector, certain frameworks eventually become signals. Certifications become indicators of quality. Governance standards become indicators of reliability. Disclosure practices become indicators of organisational readiness.

CSR cannot replace public healthcare investment, nor should it try to. But when aligned carefully with government priorities and community realities, it can support systems in ways that are practical and sustainable. That, in the long run, tends to matter more than high-profile but short-lived initiatives.

Speaking at the launch, officials highlighted how PANKHUDI aligns with prime minister Narendra Modi's vision of leveraging technology as a bridge between the government and citizens.

Appreciating initiatives like Gift Milk and Shishu Sanjeevani by NDDB, Krishan Pal Gurjar said these programmes focus on aspirational districts, tribal areas, Anganwadi centres and government schools, ensuring alignment with local needs and last-mile delivery.

The turning point came in 2002, when the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI), in partnership with the Gujarat Forest Department and Tata Chemicals Ltd., launched an audacious campaign to save the species.

Dhankhar urged farmers to see themselves as entrepreneurs with the potential to drive rural economies. He underscored the importance of participating in the input chain of agriculture (fertilizers, pesticides, machinery) and the output chain including storage, processing, and retail.

CSR provides an important platform for cross-sector collaboration, with non-profits, companies, and the government working together to create lasting change.

The programme will train 400 underprivileged youths in apparel and textile industry skills, creating self-employment opportunities. Participants from various SECL operational areas can opt for either residential or non-residential training.
